I have been creating jewelry in some capacity for the past three years. It's a hobby that has turned into a passion.
I am currently studying at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire for my Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, with the plan to complete my Masters in just one extra year. I also am working towards a minor in Women's Studies. This gives my work an interesting edge, and in my jewelry I often try to connect the two worlds of my studies.

I also have a great Etsy Shop you should check out: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CalliesCreations
I was perusing through Borders the other day when I found this book on the sales rack: Bead Tempted by Vigdis Mo Johansen
It's a book of beading idea and inspiration, and while there are some nifty things in there, like crocheting copper wire bracelets, it's a book that is perfect for a beginning jewelry maker, rather than a more advanced or experienced one.
